Description
Offshore Oil & Gas is seeking a capable and experienced Sr. Draftsman / Project Engineer with a strong background in offshore oil & gas marine operations. The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings and procedures related to marine and offshore installations, including rigging, lifting, cross-hauling, and equipment positioning.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD for offshore installation and marine operations.
- Generate rigging, lifting, and cross-hauling drawings for use in engineering procedures and offshore execution plans.
- Produce layout and arrangement drawings for marine installation scopes including subsea structures, mooring systems, winches, reels, lifting frames, and vessel deck configurations.
- Support the engineering team with development of offshore procedures and operation manuals.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Offshore Managers, and Operations team to understand field requirements.
- Assist in technical reviews and method statement development for ongoing and upcoming offshore campaigns.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of drafting or engineering experience in the offshore oil & gas industry (less may be considered if highly relevant).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) with strong drafting skills.
- Proven experience preparing rigging drawings, marine installation sketches, and deck layouts.
- Good understanding of offshore equipment such as winches, slings, lifting gears, subsea structures, and offshore vessels.
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts and convert them into practical marine operation drawings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Team player with ability to work under pressure and tight schedules.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience supporting offshore campaigns or construction vessels.
- Familiarity with offshore operations such as anchor handling, subsea installation, hook-up, or recovery work.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup tools (e.g. Bluebeam, Adobe).
- Basic understanding of structural or mechanical engineering principles.
